Chelsea Confirm 26 Year Old Keeper Has Signed New Two And A Half Year Contract

Chelsea Women have confirmed that goalkeeper Zecira Musovic has put pen to paper on a two and a half year contract extension.

The Swedish international has re-established herself as the Blues’ number one in recent weeks, following Ann-Katrin Berger’s struggles between the posts.

Musovic was handed a start by manager Emma Hayes against Vllaznia in the Champions League back in December and she hasn’t looked back from there.

After the winter break, the 26-year-old kept her place in the team, and she was excellent as she pulled off a string of saves in the 1-1 draw against Arsenal.

Although Musovic has not managed to keep a clean sheet since the 3-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea have not lost any matches since she has been reintroduced into the starting lineup.

The shot-stopper’s new deal will keep her at Stamford Bridge until 2025, and it is clearly a reward for the fine form she has been exhibiting over the past few months.
