Chelsea Closing In On Schurrle

The 2012-2013 has come to an end and Chelsea are finally ready to start building on their new squad that involves some important changes. Benitez has ended his interim contract and a new manager is set to come to Stamford Bridge. Even if things are not quite clear on who is going to take charge of the Blues, some transfers are set to go down during the next days. One of the players that is more than likely to wear the blue shirt for next season is Andre Schurrle. He has been on Abramovich’s list since last year and negotiations point to the fact that Leverkusen’s forward is going to make an important step for his career and make the move to west London.

It has been a great season for the German international who managed an impressive 14 goal streak. Even if the Bundesliga is not considered as strong of a championship as the Premier League experts are sure that Schurrle will quickly adapt and improve his game as soon as he sets foot in the UK. Over the past months he was constantly courted by Chelsea who even flew the 22 year old player to London to get a taste of what a club such as the one at Stamford Bridge is all about.

According to Metro, it appears that the only impediment between what is likely to be a great collaboration is German side, Bayer Leverkusen, who are keen on getting the most out of a possible transfer. Schurrle already expressed his interest towards moving to a bigger club by saying that he is ready to leave after this season comes to an end.

Even if Mourinho has not yet made any official statement regarding his possible arrival at Stamford Bridge some plans such as the one to transfer Schurrle still seem pretty probable regardless. The Portuguese manager will probably come with a list of his own but it appears that the German international is such a good a fit for the club that regardless of the person who will be coaching the Blues for next season he will still remain a priority.

One thing I fear about mourinho ‘s game is d boring nature of it..alwz dependin on d counter attack.I dnt want him 2 come n destroy d free passin futbal style RDM has instilled in dis new chelsea team.u remember is only durin mou era a chelsea supporter was caught on camera sleepin durin a match..I’d prefer pellegrini who has similar game play wif wat we r tryin 2 build in chelsea.MOU wil not give chance 2 d younger talents 2 show themselves.

I never know some people reads and understand football like me. I thought am the only one that does not fancy this Jose Mourinho’s coming back to chelsea rumour. We already have some young and entertaining footballers and some lads that Jose can’t help to develope. I strongly agree with you guys that have commented, what our comment we do now, we don’t know but Rafa Benitez should be given a contract or another coach apart from Jose. Thank you

  • Chuks Ogbuehi Says:

Josh Mourinho remains the best in the game, but if not him then they bring back Dematoe or Give it permanently to Rafa Benitez not minding what the fans are saying about him.

  • macfaith Says:

Mourinho is neither a fool nor unreasonable manager, he worked with what he met on ground at madrid which counter attack, Mourinho is a good manager who will see for himself that Chelsea of now is different from the Chelsea he left some seasons ago, players here is chelsea play clean game with better and advanced tactics so pls let’s give him the chance to manage what is on ground and add to boost the areas necessary. But I pray the rumour he intends selling David Luiz is a fallacy or else both roman abramovich and Mourinho will see the other side of we loyal chelsea fan both home and abroad… FAITH, NIGERIA

  • olajide Says:

I also reason wit dose who disagree mourinho’s return lets anoda coach com, bcos mou.wil not allow dose young players to display their talents he only depend on counter attack player.
