Chelsea, Bayern And Barcelona Told They Must Pay Colombian Star’s 68M Release Clause

Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are all interested in Porto winger Luis Diaz, according to reports in the Portuguese media.

The Blues were first linked with the Colombian international back in August but it is believed they have kept tabs on the player after his excellent start to the season.

Diaz has scored six goals and provided one assist in 10 appearances for Porto this campaign, and he has also been a standout performer for his country during the September and October international breaks.

Porto are, however, reluctant to let the 24-year-old leave. The player has an €80m (£68m) release clause and it is said that the Portuguese club will hold out for that figure.

Whether Chelsea actually need a player like Diaz in the squad anyway, it is questionable. Manager Thomas Tuchel already has the likes of Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Timo Werner who are capable of playing off the left flank, which is the Porto star’s favoured position.
