According to the Daily Star, Chelsea are battling rival clubs for the signature of Barcelona youngster Seung Woo Lee, after the prodigy has been reportedly discussing a permanent contract with the Catalan giants.

Chelsea made a huge statement on Saturday afternoon as they beat Arsenal on Arsene Wenger’s 1,000th game as manager of the Gunners. The 6-0 scoreline was catastophic enough, but the tie stirred more controversy with the wrongful red card given to Kieran Gibbs in the first quarter of an hour. Jose Mourinho’s men have moved one step closer to winning the Barclays Premier League title charge, but the Portuguese manager will still be trying to secure ever more mega summer signings come August.

Seung has been in sensational form for the Barcelona youth side, and could be tempted to move away from Spain in the summer. The star studded Barcelona squad does not have much room for any additions, and teams like Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool will try and lure the South Korean star to their clubs.

However, Barcelona have the monetary power to convince the player to stay at the Nou Camp but cannot offer him much 1st team football, and the English club negotiators will have to take advantage of this bit of leverage and be at their best to strike a deal for the talented player but it won’t be the first time Chelsea have succeeded in luring players away from the Nou Camp – talk to Oriol Romeu who joined Chelsea from Barca and let’s not forget a certain Mr Fabregas who made the mistake of going to the red of North London when he should have chosen the Blue of West London, anyway the point is we can secure some riches at Barca!
