Chelsea Are One Of Four PL Clubs Who Have “Shown Interest” In Signing 6ft 7in Target Man

Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham and Leicester are the four English teams that have “shown interest” in Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic, according to Transfermarkt‘s Manuel Veth.

The journalist, who also writes about the Bundesliga for Forbes magazine, claims that sources have told him the Premier League clubs have joined Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in pursuing the Austrian international:

Kalajdzic isn’t exactly a conventional forward. He is 6f 7in tall and if he did move to Stamford Bridge, he would offer manager Thomas Tuchel a sizeable presence up front.

It’s likely that the Blues are eyeing Kalajdzic as a potential plan B option. With Romelu Lukaku expected to return to Inter Milan on loan, the Stuttgart player could be seen as a way to replace some of the Belgian’s attributes.

It would, though, be a surprise if Kalajdzic was being targeted as a regular starter, with Tuchel seemingly considering a more fluid front three, if their pursuit of Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling is anything to go by.
