Chelsea Are In ‘Advanced Talks’ To Close Deal For 18 Year Old

Chelsea are in “advanced talks” to secure attacking midfielder Tino Anjorin to a new long-term contract, according to the Football Insider.

The website claims there has been a breakthrough in discussions between the club and the player’s agent, which should see the 18-year-old sign a new deal keeping him at Stamford Bridge.

Anjorin currently has just over 15 months remaining on his contract with the Blues, but he made his league debut as a 71st-minute substitute for Willian in the 4-0 win against Everton at the weekend.

The England Under 19 international’s only other senior appearance came against Grimsby Town in the 7-1 victory back in September, but manager Frank Lampard’s policy of fielding young players has seemingly encouraged the midfielder to stay put.

The likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi, Reece James, Fikayo Tomori and Mason Mount have all put pen to paper on new contracts since Lampard’s arrival and it appears Anjorin will be the latest to commit his future to Chelsea.
