Chelsea And Spurs Set To Battle For Argentinian Ace As Asking Price Drops To 43M

Chelsea and Tottenham are leading the race for Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Argentinian international’s contract expires in 2022 and it appears that, with negotiations over a new deal stalling, Juve are prepared to offload the 26-year-old this summer.

There is a fear that Dybala could run down his contract, and that has prompted the Serie A champions to reduce their asking price to €50m (£43m). Whether such a fee would attract the Blues, it remains to be seen.

The forward was previously linked with a move to Stamford Bridge back in October by another Italian website TMW, and, as the team have lacked a cutting edge this season, manager Thomas Tuchel may want to add more firepower to the squad in the summer.

However, it is debatable whether Dybala would be the solution to that problem. The Argentine has managed just three goals in 16 games this campaign, although he has been out since the turn of the year with a knee injury.
