Chelsea And PSG Both Table ‘Proposals’ To Sign 42M Rated Polish Starlet As Blues Eye Alonso Replacement

Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have made “proposals” for Roma wingback Nicola Zalewski, according to Calciomercatoweb.it.

The Italian rumour mongers don’t mention the size of the bids from the two teams but they say it would take a “crazy” offer, between €50m (£42m) and €60m (£50m), for Roma to consider selling the 20-year-old.

Zalewski became a regular starter for the Giallorossi in the second half of last season, with manager Jose Mourinho having selected the young Pole to start in the UEFA Conference League final back in May.

The wingback is both-footed but he does generally play most of his football from the left flank, which indicates Chelsea may see him as a potential replacement for Marcos Alonso, with the Spaniard hoping for a transfer back to Spain.

This link to Zalewski, though, doesn’t come from a particularly reliable source so it’s best to take this report with a large pinch of salt.
