Chelsea And Manchester United Interested In Serie A Defender For Transfer

Chelsea are believed to be interested in a transfer move for Juventus star Gleison Bremer, according to a report from Italian sports media outlet Calcio Mercato.

Despite this, Chelsea are not alone in their quest to snap up the Brazilian – Premier League rivals Manchester United are also believed to be interested in a transfer for him.

This could present a problem for the Blues. While their financial muscle is considerable, United have something that Chelsea don’t – the promise of Champions League football next season. Both clubs have reportedly ‘established contact’ with the player, but nothing official has been tabled as of yet.

Gleison Bremer, more commonly known by the mononymous moniker of ‘Bremer’, could leave Juventus in the summer after a season of turmoil for the Old Lady.

Who else, besides Chelsea and Manchester United, are interested in Gleison Bremer?

Currently, the only two clubs who are explicitly linked with Bremer are Chelsea and Manchester United – however, a number of teams have shown interest in him previously – they could all potentially renew their interest this summer.

In 2022, Bremer was linked with moves to clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Inter Milan – ultimately, he opted to sign for Juventus.

Gleison Bremer career summary

Born in Itapitanga, Brazil, in 1997, Bremer joined his first club, Desportivo Brasil, at the relatively late age of 17. In 2017, Bremer joined his first senior team, Atlético Mineiro, for whom he scored a single goal in 26 league appearances.

He was snapped up by Torino in 2018 for an undisclosed fee. He went on to make 98 appearances for Il Vecchio Cuore Granata, scoring eleven goals during his time there.

After four fruitful years with Torino, Bremer signed for Juventus in 2022. He scored four goals in 30 games for the Old Lady – but it appears that his time at the Allianz Stadium could be over.
