Chelsea And Arsenal Linked With Shock Move For £2.5m Rated Championship Wide Man

Chelsea and Arsenal are both keeping tabs on Brentford winger Said Benrahma, according to reports.

The Algerian was signed by the Championship side in the summer for just £2.5m from Nice and has been in excellent form for the Bees.

Benrahma has scored eight goals and contributed 14 assists in 35 appearances this campaign, impressing many observers with his performances. He was in top form against Hull at the weekend when he bagged himself a hat-trick in a 5-1 win.

It has been a rapid rise for the 23-year-old who was on loan at French second division side Chateauroux last season. Some have likened him to his compatriot Riyad Mahrez.

The City winger moved from Le Harve to Championship side Leicester City for just £400,000 in 2014 before making his mark in the Premier League with the Foxes.

Whether Benrahma will reach such heights, it remains to be seen. The winger has played both on the right and left-hand side for Brentford this campaign, but he is stronger on his right foot.
