Chelsea Ace Gets Deserving PFA Fans Award Nomination

The month of December was a slightly mixed one for Maurizio Sarri and his Chelsea side as they stunned Champions Manchester City 2-0 at Stamford Bridge and advanced to the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup to face Spurs but they also lost Premier League games to both Wolves and Leicester City.

The Blues ended up with 6 wins with 1 draw and 2 losses as mentioned above from their 9 December games but they still retain place in the top 4, sitting 3 points ahead of Arsenal.

As usual Chelsea enjoyed a stellar contribution from main man Eden Hazard who appeared in 7 games for the Blues.

Hazard was at his influential best for Chelsea despite dealing with a nagging back injury over the season at points.

In the Belgian ace’s 7 appearances for his club he produced 3 goals and added 5 assists. The most important fact is that of the 4 goals Hazard scored, he scored the winner vs Bournemouth, the winner vs Brighton and he bagged 2 goals vs Watford including the winner.

Plus Hazard played a big role in the win over Manchester City so it is hard to argue with how important he has been for Chelsea in December and is most deserving of the nomination for the PFA Awards for December.

Hazard is up against Mo Salah, Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba, Mo Salah, Harry Kane and Ricardo Pereira.
