Chelsea winger Willian is stalling on signing a new two-year contract with the Blues as he is waiting to see whether Barcelona make a move for him, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Brazilian’s current deal expires next summer, and he will be able to speak to foreign clubs in January about signing a pre-contract agreement.
Barca have made bids for Willian in the past year, and there is every chance that the Catalan club will look to snap up the 31-year-old on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has already spoken out about his desire to keep the Brazilian international, and there is still a possibility that the winger will stay.
Willian is reportedly very settled in London, but he is not going to be rushed into making a decision on his future. The midfielder has been a regular starter for the Blues this campaign, having scored three goals and provided three assists in 15 appearances.
