Chelsea Ace Admits He Is ‘Open’ To Other Offers As Two Clubs Vie To Sign Him On Free Transfer

Chelsea winger Pedro says he has yet to sit down with the Blues’ hierarchy to decide on his future at Stamford Bridge.

The 32-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of the season, and when asked about moving clubs, the Spaniard replied that he has not made any firm commitments about where he will playing his football next campaign:

“The coronavirus situation affected everything, so we are currently waiting for a meeting with Chelsea. I know the contract is ending, but we have not yet sat down to discuss whether to renew and continue here or not.”

“I am waiting for the meeting with the club, but I am also open to hear other offers. The priority right now is to complete my contract, then we’ll see what happens.”

With the Premier League season set to be extended beyond June, Chelsea will need to hold talks with Pedro about signing a short-term extension.

However, there is a lot more doubt over whether he will be staying at Stamford Bridge for the longer term. The former Spanish international has only started thirteen games under manager Frank Lampard this campaign.

Roma and Real Betis are believed to be two clubs keeping tabs on Pedro’s situation, with the possibility of the winger’s time at Chelsea coming to an end after nearly five years.
