Chelsea have officially released their new away kit for the new season this morning.
The white shirt and collar, with blue and red trimming, is inspired by 60’s Mod Culture according to the club:
Inspired by Mod culture, which thrived in 1960s south-west London, our 2019/20 Nike away kit is here! ?
It’s a sharp look. It’s a Chelsea thing.

While a few fans thought that the minimalist design made it seem like it wasn’t a football kit at all:
Looks like you could buy it in River Island

It’s the same shirt I used to wear for PE in primary school.

The away kit seems to have gone down better than the new home shirt by Nike. Stamford Bridge’s architecture has been used to create a pattern on the Blue shirt which wasn’t received that warmly.
No matter what shirt they’ll be wearing, though, supporters will be hoping that manager Frank Lampard will get his campaign off to a good start.
The Blues have a number of friendlies to play before they start the season away from home against Manchester United at Old Trafford on August 11th.
