Burnley are preparing a £15m bid for Chelsea centre-back Fikayo Tomori, according to reports in the UK.
The 21-year-old spent last season out on loan at Derby County and was named the Rams’ Player of the Year.
Clarets boss Sean Dyche is said to be keen to bring Tomori to Turfmoor following his successful campaign in the Championship.
Whether Chelsea will countenance offers for the defender, it remains to be seen. Manager Frank Lampard is a big fan of the player after managing him at Derby last campaign.
Still, there are question marks over how much game time Tomori will get in the Premier League.
Chelsea are well stocked for centre-backs with David Luiz, Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Kurt Zouma all currently at the club.
Much may depend on how highly Lampard rates Tomori compared to his other options in the squad, and whether he would be open to a permanent sale.
