Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have been pictured with the agent of Red Bull Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko.

Sesko is actually due to sign for Salzburg’s sister club RB Leipzig at the end of the season. However, reports earlier this month suggested that the Blues are considering whether to make an offer to sign the 19-year-old before he even plays his first match for his new club.

It is believed that Leipzig would be open to such an unusual deal, with it being claimed that the Bundesliga side may accept an offer in the region of €60m (£52m) for the Slovenian international.

While Sesko has been hailed as the “next Erling Haaland” in some quarters, it should be noted that he hasn’t exactly been in great form this season, scoring six times in 21 appearances.
