Blues star misses training as he attempts to force a move away

Chelsea winger Willian has missed his return to training this week, amid reports that a £65million bid has been launched by La Liga giants Real Madrid.

The 29-year-old Brazilian was due back at training with Chelsea last Friday, but is still yet to do so as rising speculation about his future continues to rumble on.

Various reports claim that the winger is having issues with his passport, hence his absence. But it has also been reported that the Blues worry the situation is similar to that of Diego Costa’s last season, where the Spanish international also refused to train until he was allowed to leave.

Willian has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer in order to work once again with Jose Mourinho, but Real Madrid are the favourites to land him now, with them reportedly tabling a bid of £65m for the star.

However, despite all the speculation, it was only this week that the Brazilian told the media that he was happy at Stamford Bridge.

When asked this week if he was leaving Chelsea, he replied: “No, I’m back to England.

“I’m very happy at Chelsea, I’m very happy living in London.”

But with the latest revelations, it seems Willian is trying to force his way out of the club.

Barcelona were said to have made several bids for him over the summer, but failed to agree on a price before eventually opting to sign Malcom instead.
