Blues Secure First Transfer

Blues Secure First Transfer

The January transfer window has recently opened, and Chelsea have already wrapped up their first bit of business by announcing the capture of Bertrand Traore from Association Jeunes Espoirs De Bobo-Dioulasso, report ESPNFC. The 18-year old had arrived at the London club after earning a trial back in October. He impressed everyone with his skill on the ball, which was enough to convince them of his potential, who decided to offer him a contract straight away. He had agreed to move to Chelsea back then, and was only waiting until the January window to officially finalize the transfer.

The teenager fancies himself as a traditional playmaker, playing right behind the striker along with being equally effective on the wings. His versatility, along with his strong physical stature and his silky control of the ball makes him the ideal package for an attacking footballer. Hailing from the little known areas of Burkina Faso, he has now made his big jump to the highest rungs of European football.

He is now set to be added into Chelsea’s youth academy setup where he will be expected to blossom among others his age, and hopefully very soon earn his first call-up to the senior squad. His admission of taking inspiration from Chelsea players like Eden Hazard and Juan Mata and looking up to Chelsea’s former African greats like Didier Drogba makes him the ideal fit for the Blues.

Do you see this promising young talent making his mark in the English Premier League any time soon?
