Blues fans congratulate superstar on historic achievement

Eden Hazard made Chelsea history earlier in the week after he wrapped up a century of Premier League goals and assists for the Blues.

The Belgian was on hand to score in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Wednesday night, with his spot kick – earned in somewhat controversial fashion – taking his total of goals and assists to a round 100 in England’s top flight.

Hazard joined Chelsea in the summer of 2012 as one of Europe’s most promising talents in a £32 million move from Ligue 1 side Lille – and has since gone on to establish himself as one of the world’s best players during his time in South-West London.

During his time at The Bridge, the classy Belgian playmaker has won two Premier League titles, a League cup and a Europa League trophy, and has been named the club’s Player of the Year on three separate occasions.

He also won the PFA Young Player of the Year award in 2013/14.

Hazard has been heavily linked with a move away from London in recent months, with Real Madrid and Manchester United both thought to be interested in the four-time PFA Team of the Year midfielder, however it appears he is now close to signing a new contract.

“I don’t know who’ll be the first to sign a new deal. That’s a secret.” said Hazard when asked about the potential of him and international compatriot Thibaut Courtois signing new contracts with the club. It is expected the duo will sign new long-term deals with the club in the coming weeks.

The fans have taken to Twitter to congratulate their star man on his centennial achievement, as well as shout for him to sign his new contract sooner rather than later …
