Chelsea lost their way against Sheffield United, losing a two-goal lead to draw the game 2-2 yesterday, and one of the players who has come in for huge criticism for his performance is captain Cesar Azpilicueta.
The Spaniard was nowhere near his best as he gave the ball the way and played his part as the Blues conceded twice in the second half. Fans on Twitter were questioning whether he continues to deserve a place in the starting line up:
Biggest decline of a player i've seen. Been our worst player all season, nearly every opposition goal has come from our right side, needs to be binned asap.

Most decent fans recognize he’s in decline and the only reason he’s playing is because of injuries to other players. Fans need to show him a bit of respect for what he’s done in the past. Hardly his fault we have a ban and couldn’t replace him.

Didn’t even think this was possible. Thanks for the memories but it’s time to go. Get dropped already Dave

Many Supporters are hoping that Reece James can be the solution when he returns to fitness. The 19-year-old is currently still out injured after injuring ankle ligaments whilst on international duty in the summer.
Whether he’ll be able to return after the international break is over, it remains to be seen. If he is still not ready, Chelsea fans will be hoping that Azpilicueta can improve his form in upcoming games.
