Attacking midfielders are becoming less and less common in the Premier League. With holding midfielders and three-man defences taking precedence, there often isn’t any room for them within setups.
Nevertheless, they may be a dying breed, but they’re far from extinct. The Premier League has seen some truly wonderful number tens over the years, including David Silva, Mesut Ozil and Dennis Bergkamp.
Please note – for this list, we will only be looking at players who have primarily played in the attacking midfield role this season. If a player has found generally found themselves playing elsewhere this season, they won’t be considered.
