Benitez Confident Of Work After Chelsea Job Is Completed

Chelsea are sure that they will not continue their collaboration with Benitez into next season. One of the Spaniard’s most probable replacements is Jose Mourinho, who has reportedly decided to leave Madrid even if he manages to win the Champions League trophy. The Special One was one of the Blues’ best managers, but left because of his differences with Abramovich. Apparently, they are now both willing to forget all about those issues for the greater good of the club.

Benitez has had a less than mediocre season with Chelsea. He lost his chance to win the FA Cup and is now fighting for third place in the Premier League. The only thing that could salvage a bit of his image as a coach is the Europa League trophy. There are some major doubts about his ability to win a trophy this year, especially because of the team’s lack of composure and cohesion.

Benitez recently spoke about his future and said that he is more than certain that he will start a new project at the beginning of next year’s football season. He also said that the fact that he knows he is going to leave is not affecting his work in any way. He is still determined to win all the matches left to play and he is confident he can win the Europa League trophy. For him, this season was not a total bust. He seems happy with the way things are considering the circumstances.

According to Dailymail, when asked about possible offers prior to the Liverpool game on the weekend, Benitez refused to answer saying that his mind was only on the clash against Liverpool and on the fact that his team needs to finish in the top three. He was also asked about the possibility of him staying at Stamford Bridge. Benitez said that he is under contract and that his choices will be made when it expires. It is unlikely to see the Spaniard in the same position as this year. He is not a fan favorite and his results are well below Chelsea standards.
