Maurizio Sarri has told Michy Batshuayi he will play a big part at Chelsea this season, according to reports.
Batshuayi is a hugely popular figure at Stamford Bridge, however was cast aside by former manager Antonio Conte, being sent on-loan to Borussia Dortmund for the latter half of last season.
And following his terrific form in Germany – the Belgian managed nine goals in just 14 games and was named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season – it was believed the 24-year-old would push for a permanent move away from The Bridge.
But according to RMC Sport, Sarri has held talks with Batshuayi and has told the striker that he remains a big part of his plans for the coming season.
The report also claims the Belgian will not push for a move away subsequent to his conversations with Sarri, and is excited about the prospect of working under the Italian.
Batshuayi has yet to return to pre-season training with the Blues following the World Cup, in which is scored one goal as Belgium finished third.
