Batshuayi on verge on permanent Bundesliga move

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is close to securing a permanent move to Borussia Dortmund, according to reports.

Batshuayi joined the Bundesliga outfit on a six-month loan deal in January after failing to establish himself as a regular starter at Stamford Bridge.

Since his move to Germany however, the Belgium international has flourished.

Batshuayi scored seven goals in only ten Bundesliga appearances for Peter Stöger’s side, as well as finding the net another two times in the Europa League. He was also voted into the Bundesliga Team of the Season by fans from across Europe.

Dortmund requested an ‘option to buy’ clause when the striker joined the club, however it was rejected by Chelsea.

The Blues however are thought to have changed their tune on Batshuayi leaving the club this summer after having signed Olivier Giroud in January – giving fresh hope to Dortmund they can land the striker permanently.

The Mail on Sunday report Chelsea want £50 million for the Belgian, however could be willing to swap the striker for highly-rated Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic.

Pulisic is being eyed by Antonio Conte as a long-term replacement for Eden Hazard, who has yet to sign a new deal at the club amidst speculation he will leave for Real Madrid this summer.
