Batshuayi has ‘no preference’ as to whether he stays at Chelsea or joins Borussia Dortmund

Michy Batshuayi says he has “no preference” as to whether he remains at Chelsea or moves to Borussia Dortmund this summer.

The Belgium international spent the second half of last term on-loan with Dortmund after being ostracised at Stamford Bridge by manager Antonio Conte.

And the 24-year-old enjoyed a fine spell in Germany, scoring nine goals in just 14 appearances, earning himself a shock position in the Bundesliga Team of the Season.

Dortmund are reportedly keen to take on Batshuayi permanently, however Chelsea are demanding as much as £50 million for his signature – money they intend to invest in yet another high profile striker to replace the struggling Alvaro Morata.

Sorting Batshuayi’s future will now be left until after the end of the World Cup next month, but the Belgian hitman says he is not worried, and insists he would be happy at either club next term.

Speaking about his future, he said: “Dortmund was a great experience for me.

“They welcomed me very warmly.

“I was in a good environment and you could see that on the pitch.

“It was a while since I had played so much.

“I can’t remember being allowed to play two games in a row at Chelsea. It was good to gain confidence.

“I don’t have a preference; they’re two beautiful clubs.”
