Chelsea have finally unveiled their new third kit, and it is fair to say that the design has divided opinion with some supporters loving the retro design while others are not overly pleased.
The main bone of contention seems to be the collar, while the design itself also has nods back to the 90s with the old school Nike ‘Futura’ logo as well as a jacquard knit styling. The orange colour also harks back to Chelsea’s Umbro away shirt from 1994 to 1996, as well as the Adidas design from 2010 to 2011:
Introducing the new @nikefootball 2019/20 third kit!
Taking inspiration from the 1990s, the shirt features colours from one of the club’s most unforgettable away strips and the Nike Futura logo reflecting iconic kits of the past. #ITSACHELSEATHING

As it is the third kit, it will only be used on a handful of occasions this season, when the Blues opt for a changed strip away from home against teams where their white away shirt may clash with their opponents.
