Arsenal, Chelsea To Tussle For Khedira

The Blues recently announced the shock signing of former Arsenal player Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona on a five-year deal. They are now planning to pile on more misery for the Gunners by hijacking a move for Real Madrid’s Khedira, according to the Daily Star.

Jose Mourinho bought Khedira to the Bernabeu when he was the Real Madrid manager in 2010 and he plans to lure him to Stamford Bridge this summer. The report suggests that Mourinho is eyeing a defensive midfield partnership consisting of Nemanja Matic and Khedira for next season.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been handed a huge transfer kitty to transform the Gunners into genuine title contenders who will last the pace next term. The Gunners are in need of a new defensive enforcer after being blown away in crucial league matches against their title rivals last season.

Wenger has identified Khedira as the perfect defensive midfielder to add more steel to Arsenal. However, any move will have to be made after the World Cup.

Which club between Arsenal and Chelsea do you think will be better suited for Khedira?
