Agent Speaks Out Amid Claims That Chelsea Made Offer For £34m Rated Playmaker

The agent of Dinamo Zagreb attacking midfielder Dani Olmo has refused to comment on speculation regarding his client’s future, despite reports in recent days that both Chelsea and AC Milan have entered talks about signing the Spaniard.

There were claims in the Catalan media that the Blues had made a formal approach for the 21-year-old but when asked about his client’s situation, Andy Bara would not be drawn on the playmaker’s future, He was quoted by Milannews.it as saying:

“For now I would not like to comment on anything”.

Olmo is said to be valued above €40m (£34m) by Dinamo, and it would be a surprise if Chelsea were looking to sign the Spanish international this month considering the club’s other priorities in the transfer market.

With Olivier Giroud expected to depart for Inter Milan, a new forward will need to come in to replace him while a winger is also reportedly being sought.

Olmo can play out wide but his favoured role is behind the striker, and with manager Frank Lampard already having Mason Mount and Ross Barkley to play in that position, a move for another no.10 would seem unlikely.
