Agent Reveals Italian International Is Trying To Attract Chelsea And Other “Big Clubs” At The Euros

The agent of Napoli right-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo says the Italian is placing himself in the shop window with his performances at the European Championships.

The 27-year-old has four years left on his contract at the San Paolo but the fullback’s representative Mario Giuffredi claims the defender has ambitions of playing at a higher level:

“Euro 2020 is an important showcase where big clubs like Chelsea, Real Madrid, Atletico, PSG and others can take an interest in these players. If Di Lorenzo continues like this and a request should arrive, we must then evaluate together with Napoli. He still has a four-year contract and therefore it will not depend on us but will depend on them.”

Di Lorenzo has certainly had a good season for Napoli, scoring four goals and providing eight assists in 49 appearances for the Partenopei. However, Chelsea are very unlikely to be interested in him at the moment.

The Blues are currently locked in talks to sign Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan so, if a move for the Moroccan international were to be finalised, there is no chance that the London club would go after Di Lorenzo as well.

He is, though, making a good impression with his displays for Italy and he may well still get a move elsewhere after the Euros.
