The agent of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has been “spotted” in Barcelona, according to Tuttomercatoweb.com.

The Italian website reports that the player’s representative, Joao Santos, is likely to be holding discussions about a potential free transfer at the end of the season.

Jorginho’s contract with the Blues expires in June and he will able to enter formal talks with foreign clubs in the New Year. However, Barca seem to be trying to get a head start by negotiating with his entourage first.

There is a growing likelihood that the 30-year-old will leave Stamford Bridge next summer. Although there have been positive signals from the player’s side that he would like to stay at Chelsea for longer, it has been suggested that the club are prepared to let him go.

Jorginho was signed from Napoli for £50m in 2018, and he has won four major trophies during his four years in England, including the Champions League.
