Chelsea will take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium in their next Premier League game – the Blues have a great opportunity to end their poor run of form with this encounter.

Chelsea have six confirmed absentees ahead of their game against the Cherries – they will be without Armando Broja, Kalidou Koulibaly, Mason Mount, Marc Cucurella, Reece James and Marcus Bettinelli.

In their last game, Chelsea fell to defeat against local rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners were in control throughout the contest, scoring goals thanks to a brace from Martin Odegaard and a follow-up from Gabriel Jesus – the Blues’ sole response was netted by starlet Noni Madueke.

Conversely, Bournemouth picked up a win during their last game – and in fine style. They defeated Leeds United by a score of 4-1, which resulted in the sacking of then-manager Javi Gracia – he has since been replaced with Sam Allardyce. Bournemouth’s goals on the day were scored by Dominic Solanke, Antoine Semenyo and a brace from Jefferson Lerma.

When the two teams last played each other, back in December, Chelsea defeated the Cherries by a score of 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. In that game, the Blues’ goals were scored by Kai Havertz and Mason Mount – will we see a repeat or an act of revenge in the reverse fixture?
