‘Absolute Madness’ ‘Rolls Royce Of A Player’ Fans Praise Chelsea Star As Remarkable Stat Emerges After Lille Display

Chelsea centre-back Thiago Silva was at his imperious best in the 2-0 win against Lille last night. The Brazilian seems to be getting better with age, despite now being 37.

A statistic that proves the point emerged after the victory yesterday, with the defender winning possession no less than twelve times; which is the most he has managed in any Champions League match.

Supporters on Twitter were, unsurprisingly, full of praise for Silva, with many remarking on his age and his ability to continue performing at the highest level:

There were some that questioned bringing in Silva back in 2020, considering he was being brought to a league where he could be found out for pace, but those concerns have proven to be unfounded.

It looks almost certain that, if the Brazilian’s body holds up, he can play to the age of 40 at the very top level without seeing any real noticeable drop in his performances.
