Abramovich Intends To Offer Chelsea Star And ‘Significant Sum Of Money’ For Haaland

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will use Timo Werner in a part-exchange offer for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, according to Sport.

The Catalan publication claims that Abramovich will make every effort to sign the Norwegian international in order to placate manager Thomas Tuchel.

Haaland’s asking price is believed to be €180m (£154m) so Sport say that a bid including Werner and a “significant sum of money” will be required in order to secure the Dortmund star’s signature.

There is expected to be a lot of competition for Haaland. The 20-year-old is also in the sights of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

All five clubs are said to be already planning their first moves for Haaland, along with Chelsea. However, it is hoped that Dortmund will be tempted by the Blues’ offer, with the Bundesliga club likely to see Werner as an ideal replacement for the Norwegian.
