Abraham Makes Contract Demand After Rejecting Chelsea’s Latest Offer

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham wants ‘parity’ with teammate Callum Hudson-Odoi after rejecting the Blues’ latest contract offer, according to the Mirror.

The 22-year-old reportedly feels that he is deserving of the same £180,000 a week deal that Hudson-Odoi signed back in September, but so far the London club have refused to give in to his demands.

Abraham currently has 27 months left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge but while there is no rush to find an agreement, making sure the forward is tied down for the long term will be a key priority for the club.

The striker has been a crucial first-team player under manager Frank Lampard this season, scoring 15 goals in 34 appearances, although he has been sidelined with a persistent ankle injury for the past month.

Abraham suffered a recurrence of the problem during the warm-down after the 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich, and it is currently not known when he will return to action. The player remains optimistic, however, that he will be fit to play by the end of March.
