“A Serious Approach” Report Claims Chelsea Are Interested In Snapping Up Croatian Midfield Enforcer For Free

Chelsea have made a “serious approach” for Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, according to FCInternews.it.

The Croatian international is out of contract in the summer and he will be able to speak to other clubs in the New Year about a free transfer.

Brozovic has also reportedly received enquiries from Paris Saint-Germain, while previous reports have suggested that both Manchester United and Liverpool are interested in the player.

FCInternews.it claim that Brozovic would prefer to stay at the Nerazzurri but a lot hinges on a meeting between his representatives and the Serie A champions, which will take place on October 14th.

Brozovic’s agents are thought to be holding out for around €6m a year (approximately £98,000 a week) but it remains to be seen whether Inter will cede to their demands.

The outcome of the meeting will likely determine Chelsea’s chances of snapping up the 28-year-old at the end of the season.
