A Match Made In Heaven

Mourinho’s bold move to re-sign a former Chelsea player looks to have paid off big time. Matic, who is paired with Hazard, Oscar and Willian, has seemingly turned out to be the missing piece of the puzzle. His determination and physical abilities are in perfect harmony with the other three’s incredible technical abilities.

Hazard is the one who has shined most since Matic came back to London. The Belgian is in excellent shape both mentally and physically. Having someone to back him up like the 25 year old Serbian does really helps him flourish.

The 6ft 4 midfielder has taken on a lot of his teammate’s defensive obligations, leaving Hazard to concentrate more on his offensive duties. Despite the fans reluctance regarding Matic’s return, the Serbian international has really made an impression since returning to Stamford Bridge. His unexpected speed and impeccable tackling skills combined with excellent stamina and great technique have proven once again that Mourinho has a great eye for talent.

According to the Daily Mirror, Matic’s integration in Chelsea’s first eleven will give Hazard the space he needs to become the next leader on the pitch. Mourinho is confident it could happen especially with Hazard being the best youngster in the world. The Portuguese manager also mentioned Neymar but reminded people the Brazilian’s lack of consistency is what makes the Belgian better than Barcelona’s forward.

Mourinho also mentioned the fact that Hazard is next in line to be Lampard’s successor. With the English international close to leaving at the beginning of the summer it is clear that his Chelsea journey is coming to an end. It might be a year from now or two but a thing is for sure: Hazard wil be able to take his place.
