Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta put in a performance worthy of the armband in the 2-0 win over Manchester City on Saturday.
The Spaniard hasn’t been his usual consistent self so far this season, but he put in a commanding performance to help keep a clean sheet against the Citizens at the weekend.

Maurizio Sarri’s side had to be both resilient and patient for most of the first half, but they took their opportunities when they came up and held on to inflict City’s first defeat of the season in the Premier League.
Recent setbacks against Tottenham and Wolves aside, there is certainly cause for optimism among Chelsea supporters that the team are steadily moving in the right direction under Sarri.
A shot at the title may prove just out of reach, but they can certainly close the gap in the next few weeks with a run of winnable fixtures against Brighton, Bournemouth and Leicester City.
