REPORT: Real Madrid Respond To Chelsea’s Part Exchange Offer Involving Antonio Rudiger

Real Madrid are not interested in a swap deal involving Ferland Mendy and Antonio Rudiger, according to Defensa Central.

The Spanish website claims that Chelsea would like to sign Mendy and they were willing to offer up Rudiger plus cash in order to secure the left-back’s signature.

It is believed that the Blues are resigned to losing Rudiger when his contract expires at the end of the season, and they have been looking at ways to offload him in the January transfer window.

Using him in a deal for Mendy would have been an inventive solution. The fullback was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in another report at the weekend so there could be some substance to the rumour.

However, Real are not interested in selling the 26-year-old, while their interest in Rudiger is limited to signing him in the summer when they can snap him up on a free transfer.
