Chelsea have held new discussions with the agents of Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, according to reports in the English media.
The 21-year-old has been linked with both Manchester United and Liverpool in recent days but the Blues have been tracking the player since the start of the year.
Supporters on Twitter are backing the club to make a move for Tchouameni, who they believe would give manager Thomas Tuchel another option in the middle of the park:
Go and get him!!!! Would be pumped if we got him!

We are in desperate need of a Midfielder. Tchouameni would be a great addition to the team. Wish we could get him this window.

At the moment, Tuchel is heavily reliant on Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante and Jorginho in central midfield. The likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko, Danny Drinkwater and Ross Barkley don’t have futures at Stamford Bridge while doubts linger over Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Tchouameni performed well for Monaco last season but it was reported back in May that the Ligue One side may hold out for a fee in the region of €40m (£34m) for the player.
