Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger put in an all-action display as the Blues secured an excellent 1-1 draw against Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final first leg last night.
The German international delivered a perfect pass for Christian Pulisic’s opening goal, but it was another incident that took place near the end of the game that got supporters talking.
Rudiger does go on some mazy runs into the opponent’s half when he is afforded the opportunity and he did exactly that in injury time. Fans on Twitter were loving the centre-back’s bold approach to the game:
Messi on steroids

He seems to play better in a back-3 more than a two-man CB partnership.

might be our second best dribbler this game?

To be honest, the Blues should really have won the match, but some poor finishing let them down. That crucial away goal from Pulisic, though, could prove to be very important.
The team has improved its resilience under manager Thomas Tuchel and you would be confident of Chelsea finishing the job at Stamford Bridge next week.
