Chelsea are the latest club to be linked with Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt, with reports in Spain suggesting the Blues are keen on the Dutchman.
Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal are also said to be interested in the teenager, along with the likes of Barcelona, Juventus and Bayern Munich.
Supporters on Twitter are not sure what to make of the rumour:

Being linked with De Ligt?
Can’t wait until Gary Cahill’s contract extension.

Considering the Blues conceded six against City and four against Bournemouth recently, moving to sign another centre-back may be a good idea.
With captain Gary Cahill set to leave at the end of his contract in the summer, there would certainly be room for a new recruit in the squad.
De Ligt won’t be a cheap purchase, though, with reports indicating that Ajax will demand up to £75m for the Dutch international.
Despite his young age, the 19-year-old is captain for his club, having made 36 appearances in all competitions this season.
