90% Of Chelsea Fans Polled Are Against The Club Cashing In On Wantaway Wonderkid

There has been a lot of speculation over Callum Hudson-Odoi’s future at Chelsea. The 18-year-old has reportedly handed in a transfer request which has been rejected by the club.

A £35m offer from Bayern Munich is believed to have already been turned down for the teenager, despite the fact that the winger only has 18 months remaining on his current deal.

Hudson-Odoi was omitted from the Blues squad that suffered a heavy 4-0 loss to Bournemouth last night. After the game, Maurizio Sarri claimed that the decision was made purely down to the number of wingers he had available:

“He was with us, he played three days ago. There was Willian [in the starting XI], so I had only one winger on the bench. We have four wingers, one had to be in the stands.”

Many Chelsea fans are keen to see England Under 19 international more regularly and after yesterday’s poor display, there will be more pressure on the manager to make sweeping changes to the starting lineup.

When polled, Chelsea supporters are backing the club’s stance not to cash in, but want the player to be given more chances in the first-team:

It will be interesting to see whether Hudson-Odoi features against Huddersfield on Sunday unless the decision is made before then to offload him.
