Would This Chelsea Legend Turn Things Around?

Chelsea have yet to find a strategy to get out of the place they’re in right now. Mourinho seems to have lost control and what is even sadder, the players seem to be in some pretty dire form. It has been agreed that there is no doubt in terms of talent. There is only a matter of focus and motivation, things which are missing completely right now. According to ESPN, there might be some help coming from overseas where former Blues legend Didier Drogba has just ended his first season for MLS club Montreal Impact. In 14 appearances he scored 12 times which is not as easy as some may think. Major League Soccer has improved considerably over the past years and the rhythm is not that different from what we see in Easter Europe for example.

Currently back to London to enjoy his time off, Drogba could be a solution for Chelsea’s misfiring attack line. Falcao has one foot out the door despite his one-year commitment. The Blues could drop the Colombian and even go as far as to sell Remy. Using only Diego Costa is not an option for a club like Chelsea, regardless of the situation they are in. Even if the Ivorian is 37, it would not be unheard of to see him play a couple of games for Mourinho. His relationship with the Portuguese boss is a great one. A collaboration between the two will could provide mutual benefits. The striker will stay in shape and Mourinho would get a strong character to motivate the locker. It is what is missing right now and what will probably change Chelsea’s performance. Hazard and Terry who were the leading men last season are down as well and Cech is gone which leaves little hope for a leader to emerge. It remains to be seen what will happen as no one knows exactly what will actually help the Blues come back fighting.
