A while back, rumors that Fabregas will be joining either AC Milan or Juventus have emerged. The Spaniard was said to be out of favour at Stamford Bridge where his relationship with Conte grew weaker with every fixture. The fact that Fabregas also failed to make the starting eleven made room for speculation regarding his future which can only be tied to Italy right now. He already played for Arsenal, he played for Barcelona and he unlikely to fancy playing in the Bundesliga. His only option remained Serie A. Apparently, the attention was directed towards the wrong player as Fabregas snubbed any rumor of his departure and insisted he will be staying.

According to Metro though, there is someone else who might be the target of clubs such as AC Milan and Juvents. Nemanja Matic was spotted in Milano recently while trying out some clothes alongside his agent. If speculation is true, he could have met with AC Milan’s management team in order to discuss a possible transfer which might take place in the winter. Even if Conte dismissed any news of him being ready to give up the Serbian International, there is a very big chance Matic will be out the door this January. The midfielder is not a fan favorite anymore and since Kante came in, he is sort of struggling to make an impression. With Chelsea planning to bring in some reinforcements, there is a chance to see a new midfielder signed as well, a midfielder capable of covering the same ground as Kante during a game. That is the problem with Fabregas as well so both he and Matic could be sold sooner or later as they want to play. Chelsea will have to dig deep to find the right man to cover the skill and the experience these two have but Antonio Conte probably has his eyes on some possible replacements.
