Who Will Chelsea Be Saying Goodbye This Season?

Chelsea will be saying goodbye to two of their most respected players as Drogba and Cech will be leaving Stamford Bridge in June. It will be an emotional moment for both of them considering the fact that Chelsea is the team that helped them grow into the players everyone has had the opportunity of admiring and appreciating for over a decade. They will always remain embedded in the mind of those who witnessed the magnificent display of dedication and skill shown by Cech and Drogba in Munich where they won the Champions League in an epic manner.

According to ESPN, the two who have played a combined total of 872 games for the Blues will be making way for new arrivals and will be allowing players like Courtois or Costa to write their own page in Chelsea’s history book. It will be difficult to say goodbye to such players but it will be nice at the same time to feel that the club is changing. The future is extremely bright, with names like Hazard, Courtois or Matic already making old times forgotten.

There is no time to weep as Chelsea are preparing for a new season already. Fans should be excited about what is to come even though things will feel a bit different with Cech and Drogba gone. One of the last men standing when it comes to what is currently Chelsea’s golden generation is John Terry who will very likely end his life-long Chelsea journey next summer. Other players are expected to leave the club in the next 12 months as Filipe Luis and Obi Mikel are thinking of moving away.
