What Would Be The Right Price For Cech?

It is just a matter of time until Cech parts ways with Chelsea. With the 33 year old being granted the opportunity to leave before his contract expires, it is now up to the club to decide what the asking price is. Up until now Arsenal have been the ones who looked closer to Cech than any other team. With Szczesny ready to leave and with Ospina not being seen as a keeper who can survive without top-class competition, Wenger should definitely be interested. Despite being known for not allowing direct adversaries to sign strong players from his team, Mourinho is willing to sit down and talk. According to Metro, the Portuguese boss is keen on offering a trade which will include Theo Walcott and/or Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Chelsea have not been happy with Cuadrado on the right and could be looking to replace him with one of the two Gunners. Walcott has already refused to sign a new deal and is very likely to leave. The problem would be with Oxlade-Chamberlain who is not quite as eager to join Chelsea.

The big question is how much will adversaries be willing to pay in order to sign Cech? All rumors that have emerged up until now don’t look promising for Chelsea. For some reason no one is willing to pay more than £10m for the 33 year old which is not great for the Blues. Getting Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain could actually be a bargain despite the fact that the two are not in the best of form. Even so they have a combined value of over £30m which should determine Mourinho to sell even though Arsenal are direct competitors.

Still all things considered the boss would surely prefer Cech to go to PSG and maybe even United who he has done business with as recently as just over a year ago when Mata joined United in winter 2014.
