Torres Underappreciated At Stamford Bridge

Torres agreed to a two year loan deal which is very likely to turn into a permanent move for the Spaniard who may well have been under-appreciated by the Blues. According to Metro, AC Milan youth coach, Stefano Eranio believes that Torres could have done a lot better if given the necessary support. The former winger is confident that the 30 year old striker has a lot to prove and that he never lost the skills he showcased while playing for Liverpool. Eranio seemed very impressed by the Spanish international who he called humble and also very talented.

Hopefully AC Milan’s youth coach was right. Torres struggled a lot while at Stamford Bridge. Moving to Italy could give him the chance to prove to Mourinho that keeping him on the bench was a mistake. Even so, it is going to be incredibly hard for Torres to recover the years he spent as a substitute for other players.

Fortunately for the Spaniard, Milan have a different playing style which is probably better suited for his abilities. Torres will be the team’s star striker and all eyes will be on him just as they were while he was playing at Anfield. Most are skeptical when it comes to the 30 year old striker. To be fair, they have all the right reasons to doubt him. Chelsea have to stay positive though and hope that their player will impress so as to be able to recover some of the money sent to Liverpool back in 2011.
