Fernando Torres has sealed a move away from Chelsea, as Italian giants AC Milan have agreed a two-year loan deal for the Spaniard, while Marco van Ginkel has decided to spend the season trying to win a spot in the first team, according to the Daily Mail.

El Nino has had a difficult spell at Chelsea, and has had a difficult time dealing with the expectation of the £50 million price tag that the club had to pay for his services from Liverpool. The former Atletico Madrid skipper has been rumoured to have considered leaving last year, but the club wanted to try playing him for another season. Torres never hit top gear at the club, and even a manager like Jose Mourinho could not get the best out of the striker.

van Ginkel began his career at Vitesse, who have guided him through his early childhood. The Dutch side were quick to recognize his talent, and ensured that he stayed and played on a regular basis with the youth squad to nurture his skills. The result of 8 years was there to see, and van Ginkel signed his first professional contract with the club. He then began playing regularly for the club, scoring multiple goals in the process. After moving to Stamford Bridge, van Ginkel has been fighting for a first team spot in Mourinho’s team, a difficult task given the other talent at hand.
