Third Chelsea Disappointment Heading For Serie A To Be Revived?

There is little doubt about how this season will go for Falcao unless he experiences a drastic improvement in form. His inability to score and his terrible form have proven once more that talent is not all you need to make it in the football business. The Colombian who was brought in as a strong competitor for Costa, has only scored 1 goal this season and barely got a shot in while on the pitch. Mourinho did not manage to turn things around for Falcao who may have had a better chance to reboot his career if he had stayed with Monaco in the less-competitive Ligue 1. Instead, he chose to go all in and move to the Premier League after a complicated injury. The tough football here and the high physical demands, have not allowed the Colombian to properly recover despite all the help he received from LVG and Jose Mourinho.

There is one last option Falcao will probably take. According to Metro, the 29-year-old will be heading to Florence this winter when his contract will be cut short by Chelsea. Falcao primarily agreed to stay with the Blues until the summer and decide on his future after that. Mourinho insisted that he would jumpstart the Colombian’s career and that he will be a massive contribution to the team’s success. If that plan would have had a chance to succeed, we would have probably figured it out by now. Unfortunately, the Premier League is not for Falcao who is also followed by Valencia and Porto. Good news might come from his departure though as Chelsea need to bring in a replacement. It is still to be seen who will challenge Diego Costa, with rumors of Cavani, Griezmann and Lacazette already circling Stamford Bridge.
