Should Hazard Go Down The Same Path As Messi And Ronaldo?

Hazard has grown immensely over the past few seasons. Transferring him from Lille for little under £30m was one of the best deals Chelsea have ever made. The Belgian has developed into a superstar and has become for the Blues what Ronaldo or Messi represent for their teams. According to SkySports, it might be time for the 24 year old to start being even more decisive for Mourinho’s side. In order to do so he should start crossing over more often from the left side towards the middle of the attack just as Messi did for Barcelona and Ronaldo did for Real.

Mourinho has often compared Hazard with the two former wingers now turned into Europe’s top goal scorers. Hazard showed a lot of potential last season when he did not have Costa to score goals. He finished the year as Chelsea’s top scorer which says a lot about his abilities.

If we start considering the possibility of turning Hazard into a second striker, rumors that Chelsea are looking for a left winger might start to make sense. Rumors that Oscar is for sale might also make sense as it would be very difficult to fit the two next to each other. Mourinho could help changing Hazard’s profile and could also help turn the 24 year old into a scoring machine. Changing formation for a player like the Belgian could be worth it just as it was for the two most efficient attackers in Europe which are Ronaldo and Messi. Hopefully next year fans will see Hazard finding himself more often in front of goal. An attacking duo built out of Costa and Hazard would be something any team should fear and any blues fan should dream of.
